My First Pano

Hey Jen..haha,

Just wanted to share my first attempt at a panorama shot. For those that are not aware of how to do them, let me tell you how simple it is. I just guessed and it worked out.
Shooting It:
I took 3 shots from left to right. I took the first where I wanted it to begin obviously. I then moved the frame about 2 thirds across the first shot. (pay attention to this spot when framing your first shot. I then did the same with the 3rd.

The edit:
I opened all 3 shots in CS3. Put all 3 on top of each other. You should end up with a "background" layer and 2 others. Double click on the layer that says "background" and hit ok. This will unlock that layer.
Then go to edit>auto align layers. (use Auto)
After that is processed they should be coming together but you will see where they joined. Click on EDIT>Blend layers, (you may or may not have to click on panorama.)
ALL DONE!! Just crop your photo to take out the distorted edges.

Can't Stop Trying

Hey lonely blog traveler.
I have gotten a little lazy in my photography education. I am feeling a little pigeon holed to this "Dave Hill" style of editing and have decided to start trying some new things again. It's so easy to get rapped up in shooting/editing what and how other people want you to. (especially when you start making money doing this thing.)
I have long enjoyed the "retro" editing I have been seeing everywhere and decided to take a swing at it. Good or bad attempt aside, I feel that wonderful little twinge in my stomach. I am back on track and going to be doing some shoots for me again. No money, no time lines, no one else to satisfy.
